Entry Requirements

Undergraduate Courses

You should be at least 17 years of age in January of the year of entry. You must have a Secondary/High School Diploma, with good grades in English and Mathematics and at least 4 other subjects, on average + 60%. Some courses have special entry requirements, which you should check under the course details.

If English is not your first language you should present evidence of competence.Minimum 5.5 IELTS or equivalent TOEFL/TOEIC (minimum of 5.0 in each band) is required for all undergraduate programmes. Find below a comparison table for IELTS/TOEFL and TOEIC.

Please note that the English language test should have been taken within 2 years from the date of application.

Transfer Students

WIT welcomes applications from candidates who have completed studies at higher level at another institution and who wish to transfer onto a degree programme at WIT. To qualify for consideration a transfer applicant must satisfy the above requirements and you must provide a certified copy of all academic transcripts with detail the subjects you studied and grades awarded.

Transfer applicants must apply directly to the International Office by the 1st July and are assessed based on their application detail and may be called for interview. Depending on the curriculum of their previous studies a transfer applicant may be eligible for advance placement to year two or year three or may get exemptions from certain modules. Postgraduate Courses

To enter a taught masters programme, you should have an honours degree in a related subject. To undertake a postgraduate programme by research, you should have a good honours degree, a pass degree plus a graduate diploma or masters degree in a related subject. If English is not your first language you should present evidence of competence. Minimum score of 600 TOEFL (232 computer based, with test of written English at 475+) or 6.0 IELTS (minimum of 6.0 in each band) is required for all postgraduate  programmes

Bridging Course

You should be at least 17 years of age in January of the year of entry. You must have a Secondary/High School Diploma, with good grades in English and Mathematics and at least 4 other subjects, on average + 60%.
