Important dates for the start of the academic year

Dates and information for first year students

Offer of place: Incoming first year students will receive an offer (through the CAO) on Monday, 23 August 2010.

Acceptance of offer: This offer should be accepted on or before Monday, 30 August 2010. Please follow the CAO instructions for accepting offers.

Online Registration: From Wednesday, 1 September 2010

  • All first year students must register with WIT prior to commencing classes.
  • First year students must register online at WIT's Registration homepage from Wednesday, 1 September 2010 at 9.00am. Information and login details will be sent to you with your letter of offer.

On Campus Registration: Thursday, 2 September and Friday, 3 September 2010

  • You must also attend the Institute for Registration Day which will take place on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 September 2010.
  • You will receive more detailed information on registration day and on your exact registration date and time slot with your offer letter from WIT.


Induction and classes commence: Tuesday, 7 September 2010

  • You will receive information on your induction time and location on Registration day.
  • You will receive information on your timetable during induction.


Dates and information for Continuing Students

Registration:

  • Students should register online at WIT's Registration homepage
  • Online registration will be available from Wednesday, 18 August 2010 at 12 noon


Classes commence:

  • Classes commence on Tuesday, 7 September 2010
  • Timetables will be available on school notice boards that morning


Exam results:

  • Autumn exam results will be available from Thursday, 16 September 2010 at 3pm.
  • Results can be checked from that date on WIT's exams homepage
  • Students waiting on exam results are advised to attend classes from Tuesday, 7 September 2010 (Students going on placement should contact their school office before finalising placement arrangements)

Taught Postgraduate programmes normally commence during the second and third week of September, please contact the relevant School Office regarding specific registration and commencement dates for your programme.
