Portfolios

This is a comprehensive chronological record of a student’s design project work. It contains all course work, including reports, dissertations, sketch books and any other evidence of work that have been assessed as part of the course leading to an award.

Notes for students on portfolio preparation:

  • Your portfolio should contain all your Architectural project work, in chronological order, with the most recent being on top. A copy of each brief should be attached.
  • All finished work, and rough work (sketches, preparation drawings photographs etc.) should be included.
  • Ensure that you have photographed all of your models and present them arranged on an A1 sheet or A4 booklet.
  • You should also include, within a separate cover inside the portfolio, Graphics work plus all continuous assessment work for all subjects and copy of assignment brief.
  • Please take one of the Portfolio forms and fill out and stick it onto the outside bottom right hand corner of your portfolio. Please attach a photograph of yourself to this.
  • Note: the portfolios remain the property of WIT. Please ensure that if you wish to take copies that you do so before final hand in.
  • A selection of portfolios will be retained by WIT for Quality Assurance Procedures and Professional Visiting Panels. A list of the retained portfolios will be posted on the studio door.
