Facilities

WIT has a number of on site facilites which help cater for the extensive range of sports offered in the college, to supplement these it has agreements with a number of local facility providers. Two of the major centres it uses are the Waterford Crystal Sports Centre and the Waterford Regional Sports Centre. Recently, the WIT Sports Campus opened, it is located just off the Waterford bypass, and is easily accessible from all areas of the south east region and further afar.

WIT Sports Campus

WIT Sports Campus is situated on the new Waterford outer ring road and the new Waterford City by-pass. It covers almost 160 acres of land that runs from the old Kilmeaden road down to the bank of the river Suir. WIT Sports Campus encompasses 50 acres of the land is set aside specifically for sports facilities, which includes the following;

• Three full sized floodlight grass pitches
• Top class GAA approved all weather pitch (full sized GAA or two soccer pitches)
• 2km undulating outdoor run
• 8 first class changing facilities
• Physiotherapy rooms
• Team meeting rooms
• DVD/Meeting rooms
• Cricket pitch
